CogniTwin collaborates with a leading researchers from the University of Oxford

CogniTwin team have established a collaboration with Dr. Ivan Koychev, who is a clinical academic psychiatrist (on the GMC Specialist Register for Old Age and General Adult Psychiatry) at the University of Oxford with a focus on the development of treatments for neuropsychiatric disorders. His research spans the key components of neuroscience clinical trial methodology: conduct of proof-of-concept (PoC) biomarker-based clinical trials in surrogate populations, testing of repurposed compounds, development of stratification and efficacy biomarkers and creation of infrastructure for large-scale stratified recruitment into neuroscience experimental medicine studies and clinical trials. He leads on the development of the Clinical Studies Register for Dementias Platform UK.

Challenges of advanced software systems: CogniTwin and synergy with other national projects

CogniTwin project was presented on a scientific seminar "Challenges of advanced software systems", which was held on 10th and 11th June 2021 in Kladnitsa. Its aim was to bring researchers, working on different scientific projects in Sofia University to share knowledge and ti find a synergy between them. Assoc. Prof. Dessislava Petrova-Antonova presented the latest results acheived within the CogniTwin project.

CogniTwin at BioTech Atelier

CogniTwin project was presented on a virtual workshop "Big Data and Artificial Intelligence in Digital Health", organised by GATE Institute, Sofia University. The event was held on 25th September 2020 as a satellite event to Biotech Atelier 2020. Its aim was to explore some of the latest developments in the applications of Big data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning and Deep Learning methods to the field of Digital Health and biomedical research. The workshop was organised in two sessions: „Big Data in Genetics“ and „AI for cognitive diseases“. The Director of the GATE Institute, prof. Sylvia Ilieva opened the workshop with an introductory presentation on the main research and application areas of the institute. Assoc. Prof. Dessislava Petrova-Antonova presented the latest results acheived within the CogniTwin project.

CogniTwin at ICCSA 2020 conference

Assoc. Prof. Desislava Petrova-Antonova, coordinator of CogniTwin project, participated in the 20th International Conference on Computational Science and its Applications. The conference, organised by the University of Cagliari, Italy, was held online between 1st and 4th July. Assoc. prof. Dessislava Petrova-Antonova presented a paper titled "A Digital Twin Platform for Diagnostics and Rehabilitation of Multiple Sclerosis".
